In Memory
We remember.
The dogs who came to us hurting and left us with better lives — if only for a while.
For the seniors. For the ones too broken to fix but too loved to give up on. For every dog who crossed our threshold and never left our hearts. You mattered. You always will.
Apollo
When Apollo first came to us in April 2018 his shelter notes read “very old, very skinny, hair missing, strong odor… humanely euthanize.” With the help of PACC 911’s Golden Angel Fund we said no. Volunteers bathed him, dressed his wounds, gave him a warm bed and a jacket, and watched him pick up weight. Diagnosed with Pemphigus Foliaceus, he went to his Love For Life forever foster in July 2018 and lived out the rest of his days with a family that adored him.
Bruce
A gentle soul whose later years were spent surrounded by people who finally understood his worth. He stayed longer than we thought possible — and every extra day was a gift.
Ghost
Ghost joined us a senior and made it clear from day one he had more living to do. He taught us how resilient a dog can be when someone finally chooses them.
This page is a work in progress. More tributes are being added as their stories are written.
